"FUN" RIDE OPTION
| Description: Southwest Montana offers a variety
of things for a vacationing family to do -- visit Yellowstone Natl
Park or the historic goldmining town of Virginia City, go white-water
rafting or on a scenic float trip, or enjoy an evening of vaudeville
entertainment at the Brewery Follies or Playmill Theatre. This option
allows you the flexibility to enjoy a few area attractions, as well
as, fit in your horseback vacation. We will work with you to plan
your itinerary.

An Example"FUN RIDE" Itinerary:
Day 1: Half-day horseback
ride (approx. 3 hours) in Doubtful Basin.
Afternoon - Virginia City -- steam engine ride, western history, gift
shops.
Evening - Have dinner at a local restaurant & take in a local theater
act.
Day 2: Explore Yellowstone Nat'l Park, Old Faithful
Quake Lake Visitor's Center and sights in the town of West Yellowstone
-- Imax theater, Bear World and art galleries
Day 3: Full-day horseback ride or cattle herding
experience on local ranch. Includes lunch and 5-6 hours of steady
horseback riding.
Day 4: Spend the day rafting or floating on Madison
or Gallatin River
Day 5/6: Embark on an overnight pack trip
to enjoy a night under the stars by a relaxing campfire
Rates:
Half-day Ride: $75/per person
Full-day Ride: $105/per person
Cattle Herding: $85/per person
Lodging: Will vary from $45-$85 per night depending the
type of lodging you desire. Multiple night lodging packages are available
at local Triple AAA motels.
This is just a sample itinerary. Horseback trips, cattle herding, or pack
trip length can be varied to accommodate group schedules, interests and
price ranges. This is a good option to consider if your group is made
up of beginning to intermediate riders or riders who haven't ridden in
awhile and don't want to be saddle-sore while on vacation. It allows you
the freedom to enjoy many of the activities Southwest Montana during you
vacation. Keep in mind, having the opportunity for a refreshing shower
after a day in the summer sun or moving cattle is always appreciated.

VIGILANTE PACK TRIP
Description: This packtrip originates in the Gravelly Mtn
Range of Southwest Montana (MT). Riders travel the top of the mtn range
thru timber (Douglas Fir) and open meadows carpeted with wildflowers,
past several small mtn lakes. As the riders pass the historic core of
a mtn volcano, Black Butte, they will overlook two valleys
on either side of the mtn range -- the Madison Valley to the East and
the Ruby Valley to the West. This area is rich in history and the settlement
of Montana. The HIGHLIGHT of this trip is it ends in the historic, goldmining
town of Virginia City, MT, a popular tourist attraction. Riders may choose
to spend the night in a local bed and breakfast and sightsee the next
day.
Length: 3-day or 5-day depending on schedule
Skill Level: Beginner to Advanced
Terrain: Moderate
Pace: Opportunities exist in meadowed areas for loping excursions
depending on rider
skill level and guide assessment
Rates:
$175/per person/per day
Additional: If required, transportation to and from the
Bozeman airport (60 miles away) maybe arranged. Guests will need motel
accommodations the day prior to the packtrip and the evening it ends.

INDIAN CREEK WILDERNESS PACK TRIP
Description: This packtrip takes place in the Lee-Metcalf
Wilderness -- an area noted for it's pristine beauty and rugged Madison
Mtn Range. No motorized vehicles are allowed in the area so you can enjoy
the peacefulness of Mother Nature. This ride originates at the mouth of
Indian Creek Canyon. Guests ride the mtn trail along steep canyon walls
and past a 60-ft waterfall to base camp. Riders can do scenic "day"
rides along various trails that explore the backcountry of the wilderness.
Opportunities exist for mtn lake and stream fishing should riders choose
to. Base camp may be moved depending on trip length and rider ability.
With both options riders will traverse the mountain range and finish their
trip at Bear Creek Campground.
Length: 3-day or 5-day depending on schedule
Skill Level: Intermediate to Advanced
Terrain: Moderate to Steep
Pace: Few opportunities exist for advanced-pace excursions
because of the ruggedness of terrain. Pace will depend on rider skill-level
and guide assessment

$200/per person/per day
Additional: If required, transportation to and from the
Bozeman airport (60 miles away) may be arranged. Guests will need motel
accommodations the day prior to the packtrip and the evening it ends.
