HUNTING

 Jeff Wingard has over 26 years of guiding experience in Montana's back country.  He started his career guiding near Phillipsburg and has spent 23 years outfitting elk hunters in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness area near Ennis. 

 In 2005, he sold his Indian Creek Hunting camp and permit to neighboring outfitter, Wade Durham of ICR Outfitters.  This allowed Wade to double the size of his hunting area and enhance the rifle hunting for clients.  Wade and his family have outfitted this area since the 1960's and Jeff felt it was a win-win for both parties to pass the camp over to him.  Wade takes rifle hunts in the Scapegoat Wilderness (next to the Bob Marshall) during the September bugle so Jeff works with Wade to take a few archery hunters to Indian Creek in September.

    Now Jeff has the best of both worlds.  Anyone who knows Jeff, knows he is passionate about archery elk hunting (and turkeys!).  He maintains his outfitter license and is able to offer a few limited weeks of archery hunting in his old camp area by working with ICR Outfitters.  He also has time to watch/attend a few football games, and hunt for himself!!
