Jeff Wingard has over 24 years of guiding experience in Montana's back country. He started his career guiding near Phillipsburg and has spent 21 years outfitting elk hunters in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness area near Ennis.
In 2005, he sold his Indian Creek Hunting camp and permit to neighboring outfitter, Wade Durham of ICR Outfitters. This allowed Wade to double the size of his hunting area and enhance the rifle hunting for clients. Wade and his family have outfitted this area since the 1960's and Jeff felt it was a win-win for both parties to pass the camp over to him. Wade takes rifle hunts in the Scapegoat Wilderness (next to the Bob Marshall) during the September bugle so Jeff is still allowed to take a few archery hunters up Indian Creek in September.
Now Jeff has the best of both worlds. Anyone who knows Jeff, knows he is passionate about archery elk hunting (and turkeys!). He maintains his outfitter license and is able to offer a few limited weeks of archery hunting up Indian Creek per an agreement with ICR Outfitters. He also has time to attend a few of Dalyn's football games, as well as, Jeff has some time to hunt for himself!!
